Redcafe is already beginning to go crazy ... their topic title for the game is FC Internazionale Milano vs 115 charges FC, or something like that lol, how do you cope with Man Utd fans?
ignore them usually, which is pretty easy as most are 200 miles away in London :)

Excuse the interuption. Another Hammer wishing you all the best. For the sake of football I hope you score early to stop the Italian shithousery and go on for a comfortable win that you can all enjoy. 90th minute winners aren't good for the blood pressure.
Stay safe .
Congrats on your victory really well deserved.

My lineup:
Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Ake?
Rodri Gundogan Debruyne
Bernardo Grealish
Haaland

If you're not in Istanbul or Manchester - where ya watching? I live in States, Fresno, California. Would be watching it with Fresno Cityzens but I'm out of town in Orange County so will catch it at The Harp Inn, in Costa Mesa. Watch party with OC Blues. Let's do this!!

Congrats on being the 2nd most succesful team in England , the Rags won a League Cup no comparison to a european trophy and for all the Goons bragging this season they won f*ck all , hope Sullivan gives Moyes the Declan money to spend on players and you get into europe next season at the expense of one of the "top six" entitled clubs.

The two main concerns with Inter for me are:

1. The unknown factor. We have not had a good reference game in the CL knockouts to judge them from and when you look at their league form, whilst it has been fantastic since the last international break, they have lost 12 games this season and wanted the manager sacked at some point in the season.

Yet, they statistically average the best XG in Serie A I think and have more shots per game than we do. Clean sheet wise they have been good in the CL this season also.

2. Their style of play and setup is what you would say is our kryptonite. 5 at the back defensive block, 2 forwards with quick counters and very effective and efficient at doing so.

The difference between Inter and the likes of Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool and Arsenal is that those teams have it in their philosophy to be assertive and attack the opponent. So we always knew there was going to be moments in those games where we would have clear opportunities to exploit. With Inter, it's the opposite as they will quite happily park a tank and play for penalities if need be, or counter efficiently when they can. Catenaccio style.
Couple of things here. And this is more of a reassurance than to get at you mate so don't think I'm giving you grief :)

XG is the biggest load of crap

While we haven't played them, they won't be an unknown by any stretch of the imagination to our management and players who will know everything about them

5-3-2 has given us problems but that was prior to the formation change and Stone moving into the hybrid role, teams who try that now end up completely isolating their forwards and give us extra players in midfield.

Inter don't have the pace for a traditional "counter attack" so they will have to approach their attacking game differently

We are now scoring relatively regularly from distance with gundo, rodri, kev all now encouraged to shoot from range instead of our prior conservative approach.

We also now have the ability to mix up long and short balls whereas previously we were entirely committed to one approach, teams can't adapt to that anymore

Haaland is itching to make his mark

We're better, we're now "switch hitters", we're going to win this game.

Does “the Coutinho money” need to start worrying?
