Champions League Final | Istanbul or could it be moved?

Yeah, 20K people is a lot of planes. Just when it looked like the Seat Counters had had their biggest game of the season, this could be another one. It's really hard to say how may we'd take. We took about 8K to Porto during COVID and there were absolutely loads who couldn't go. I've got something like 17-18,000 points now and I just scraped in.

Istanbul is one of the shittest places in Europe to travel to for us for this game. If it was one of the more local European countries with dozens of access routes we'd take a lot more.
I'm going no matter what, but I really hope it's moved. The whole thing is a fucking sham. Airport's miles away from the centre, stadium also miles out. Game finishing after midnight with a couple of trams and a load of taxis ready to rip you off.

Since my first child was born in 2013 I've only been to a handful of aways including one European trip and 2 trips to Wembley, however I will definitely be going to this should we get there. I think there will be a lot of "fair weather" fans like me who won't bother with Wembley for a semi final any more but will break the bank to get to the Champions league final to see history being made.

The airport and stadium are both miles out of the centre - are they close to each other?

33km between the airport and stadium.

Airport’s at the top, then the stadium, then a further 10 - 20km to the centre depending which part you are.

I know people have work commitments etc, but if you wanna save a few quid/have a better time spending the same amount of money, it’ll be more cost effective to book in to an all inclusive in another region and get an internal flight, most flights are just over an hour & less than £100. We’ve just booked with TUI at £600 pp with a free child place (for a week) internal flight is £56 from Dalaman, obviously you’ve got ticket taxis beer & food to think about, but it’s a no brainier for me

Afraid not.

This was the breakdown last year:
Cat 1 (€690) 4.6% of allocation
Cat 2 (€490) 16.4%
Cat 3 (€180) 55.7%
Cat 4 (€70) 23.3%

Might be some minor changes but they'll broadly be in line with that again.

I would say last year UEFA gave each club 5k free tickets to reward "true fans". I think both clubs effectively used this to reduce the ticket price of the whole allocation rather than anyone receiving a ticket for free. Not seen anything about that this year.....

We won't take 20k so anyone that wants one will get one, but the cheaper tickets will go first.
Didn't the Scousers get an extra 2k tickets from "other means"?

I think we'd easily sell 20k, but I also think it's one of those where everyone who wants a ticket will be able to buy one (they might just end up spending a bomb to get one of the higher categories).
Porto was distorted slightly because of the free flights. Many people who couldn't have afforded to go, could, because of that gesture from HHSM.

Yes, travel will be a pain in the arse, but you'd expect hundreds of chartered flights to lighten that load.

I hope people who ain’t fair weather fans get a ticket before glory hunters like you if I’m honest
