Will there be any chance of getting a ticket over there?

From touts, yeah I'm sure you could if ypu look around enough and you've got a spare grand. From people with genuine spares for a reasonable price, next to none I'd imagine. If there are spares for whatever reason they'll get snapped up before they travel. Maybe they'll be a handful knocking about that suddenly have a spare through fans getting arrested, being too pissed to get in or whatever but good luck finding those one or two people amongst 30+ thousand blues.

I’d just book it mate. My mate stand in Sultanahmet a few years ago and loved it. I think Taskim Sq will be a bit more lively as I believe that’s the more modern side of Istanbul.

we are staying in sirkeci less than a mile from you my research says it’s not to bad an area and besides there will be blues everywhere in ever bar

5 million Syrian refugees came to Turkey, most of them to İstanbul since 2013. Most of them lives in Fatih region. Fatih is like an arabic city since 3-4 years. arabic signs eveywhere. It is hard to see a Turk :)) i am serious. I dont wanna talk about that subject much, but that is the truth. That's why i am telling you; if you can, book an hotel elsewhere.
Fatih, is ofcourse the old city, the history of istanbul, best historical places are there. that s another point.

What problems? There were no fake tickets at last years final at all

Well we are near blue mosque area I was told go the European side as it’s easier to get to stadium anyway, just keep your wits about you don’t get too pissed and respect the locals.
Might even go to one of those Turkish bath houses have a shisha and a hot shave.

yes, fatih is the old city. Sultanahmet, saint sophia, grand bazaar, topkapi palace is there. great places to visit. but not a good place to stay. visit those places if you have time.
