Yeah, we are making that case. The club are well aware that many supporters are going via mainland Europe, or have purchased package holidays in Turkish resorts. It was certainly my impression that I think they will struggle to sell their packages given the likely price differential between organising yourself, unless they subsidise. That in and of itself brings a financial risk for the club.Thanks for info. I assume City Matters is heavily lobbying the club to subsidise travel. They really have to start thinking more about the investment fans need to make supporting the team
Appreciate that some supporters don’t have the luxury of an extended break, so the comparison with flying via somewhere may not apply. But that still doesn’t take away from a very expensive price.
The club are in contact with Sports Options and I believe that they have ran into similar issues.
