Yeah, we are making that case. The club are well aware that many supporters are going via mainland Europe, or have purchased package holidays in Turkish resorts. It was certainly my impression that I think they will struggle to sell their packages given the likely price differential between organising yourself, unless they subsidise. That in and of itself brings a financial risk for the club.

Appreciate that some supporters don’t have the luxury of an extended break, so the comparison with flying via somewhere may not apply. But that still doesn’t take away from a very expensive price.

The club are in contact with Sports Options and I believe that they have ran into similar issues.

What do you mean by not a good place to stay? A lot of the reviews say location is one of the best in Istanbul. By not a good place to stay do you mean the access or is it not a nice area?

My intention is to see a lot of the sights in Istanbul and a believe the blue mosque is fairly close too. I was going to stay in Taskim Sq but after doing a bit of research Sultanahmet seemed a bit more for me.

Where are the best sort of bar areas? I mean the most likely place in which a large number of football fans can congregate together.

It's the place most people stay because that's where everything is. Defo a good choice of area to be to soak up the sights. Think this fella wants people to come for a drink in his bar!

Dave, it(the stadium) is in the middle of nowhere. The Metro gives great access to the stadium, 1-1 1/2 hours max from most places on the European side. I also believe because it’s so remote, they’ll have a good coach service from the multiple fan zones around the city. I wouldn’t worry about the to/from stadium bit. If you stay in the Atakoy area, I’ll buddy you to/from the ground.
