A little tip on taxis that I'm sure others do anyway as above. Set yourselves up with the Uber app, choose the 'cash' option on the app. This way you avoid being stung by the meter in taxis as you agree a fixed price before you order, and avoids any scams via card payment.

If you are to use card payment, I always recommend getting a Starling Bank card. This is completely free and avoids any international fees on any purchases online or in person.

any idea on price?
I cant remember from the top of my head but I remember it wasnt too expensive for the amount of food we ordered.

There was a group of us and we ordered everything from the menu and some of the items were ordered x2/x3. I think it worked out to £20 each or £30. They definitely marked up the price but we didnt care as the food was so good.

The kebab (Not the same kebab u find in chip shops but its on skewers and stuff) and lamb chops were what stood out to me. There was some aubergine hummus or something too which was very nice. Chicken wings from what I remember were very nice but probably the least favourite thing. Though I didnt have any seafood cause I hate seafood (Except cod/Tuna).

Starling is fine.

I use Monzo and Revolut. I leave my main cards at home.

If they ever get lost I can cancel them on the app. They are also free to use in other countries and let u withdraw I think £300 per month abroad for free. So about £500/600 if u use both.

Monzo will do conversion automatically for u, just got to top up the card.

Revolut will allow u to top up the card and you can exchange the currency when u want in the app. I use Revolut for this purpose, to exchange at favourable rates.

Enjoy it. Also read up on the scams. Taksim square is one of the dodgiest places I went to but if you're aware and avoid the dodgy stuff you're golden. Also if you and the lads are on the piss and prefer hard liquour, buy it at the duty free!!!!

You never ever ever under any circumstances want to buy it from Turkey if you value your eyesight/liver. Beer is fine in Turkey.
