Please could you elaborate more on some of the scams and problems you ran into so other fans have a better idea? This is not scaremongering but valued advice from someone who's been before. A lot of our lot get the day trip over or spend time in and around the Irish bar only, I have a feeling this place is going to be a lot bigger than expected and a completely different vibe to other Euro aways. Thanks.

Oh yeah had the taxi one happen to us (Uber) and didnt say anything cause the guy drove an extra 30 min and it worked out to an additonal charge of £1.50. We were laughing tbh.

I would say stick to uber etc. If theres an issue you can contact them and get refunded etc.

Things to consider in Istanbul,
If you are using a taxi, ask them to turn on the meter, do not negotiate the price.
Request a menu with prices at restaurants. Do not use restaurants without menus and prices.
Reject those who promise to offer you a drink by shouting from the door, especially in the Taksim and Aksaray region,especially at nights. They may try to make you pay for unthinkable accounts.

There is not uber in Turkey. İt is banned years ago

Definitely check out the restaurant I mentioned if you enjoy meat and bbq/mix grill.

We are in Besiktas but I will Google it. Arsenal has a mass tear up with Galatasaray about 20 years ago...where was that?
