Probably the best post of the nightWe lost. End of. Can't change it. Leave the post mortem to Pep and his team. Leave the in's and outs to the club. 14/8/21 it all starts all over again. Ferno would’ve been proud of a challenge like that, Had it not been for the fact that Rudiger got himself booked. Amateur!That rudiger block was a difference maker.

He does over think things. I believe he honestly thought that Sterling would help to break them down. It nearly worked. If we had scored first then we would possibly be champions tonight. But we need to let these negative teams have the ball for periods . Pump it up into their corner and then let them build up the play. They'd not know what to do with it because a 10 man wall would face them but slowly ,gaps in their line system would appear be yes the onus would be on them .It's not second time in two years, we've seen it long before that?

Pep has to have his attack minded team . It's all of his philosophy. It does bring trophies but it has an Achilles heel - perfect retention / possession is a must . Dispossession can bring sudden vulnerability and that was all through the first half. We dont learn .

We lost to one shot and resolute defending from the opposition. We looked poor all round and didn't deserve to win based on performance, but it was our first time in the CL final and we'll be back. Sorry if that's too nuanced for you.

It’s what he does in the CL. It’s his Kryptonite sadly…..Not sure I’ll ever really get my head around why he decided to change the system tonight. I love Pep, but that was an unfathomable team selection.

No point splitting feathers, pep and the players are equally to blame.
Bad night all around. Learn and come back stronger. I honestly did not expect us to win anything this season due to squad personal, Covid and the Scousers playing so well.
Credit to Pep and the players for winning another 2 trophies during a torrid year.The unbeaten run was amazing but tonight we finish the season as we started. Squad needs a refresh for us to push on again. We lost a lot of legends recently which cannot be ignored.

Is the right answer.He got in behind them a couple of times, it pushes their back line back a little. This isn't on sterling. It's on the manager for the stupidest fucking selection of the year and on the players for not fucking bossing it.
Players didn't perform, granted, but the formation was skewed from the beginning. I groaned when the team list was announced.
Sterling? You're right. I have been saying on here for 6 months he's been garbage - and then he turns up tonight and in the 1st half was the only player that looked like he was going to do something. The manager picks the team. Not the other way around.
can we put this to bed ?? sterling is not a striker but has worked on his game to fit into this side
