Porto is right up there for me as one of our most devastating defeats. It is nearly as bad as the way I felt after relegation to Luton Town in 1983. It wasn't the defeat that bothers me but the manner of it. It was one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a City side. Obviously not from a technical point of view. I am another one who loves European football. I have made dozens of away trips abroad and only missed three home games in our entire European history (including the Anglo Italian Cup!) But I despise UEFA and understand why so many fans hate them.
