I reiterate no one should say pep out without justifying why. There’s some one here that just can’t wait to criticise every opportunity.

Just because we spent years being disappointed doesn’t mean that we’re not allowed to be anymore.
It’s a simple game, just play ya best team, if you continuously get it wrong in big games there’s obviously something wrong.

So what do you mean by “holding to account”? I’d suggest the worst possible thing the club could do is to do that publicly. Putting out a public statement saying something like “the club has made clear its disappointment to pep, but he still has our full confidence” would completely undermine him.

I’m sure someone is telling Pep what the expectations are. I just hope we never hear about it, because if we do then that shows the club has real problems.

I never said the club should wash their dirty washing in public mate but anyone else in any other position would get a bollocking surely. Then again, he's the manager who's paid to make these decisions albeit right or wrong. If I was the owner, I'd be asking some questions at least.

Who at the club is holding Pep to account? That's twice he's done it now in the CL. Look, I'm not for one single minute suggesting he should go and am extremely grateful for everything he has done so far. However, it's also not great having an "untouchable" either who can just get away with these things based on reputation and power.

When you say “twice” which other game are you counting?

- When he played Gundogan right wing for the first time in his career at Anfield?

- When he played 442 away at Tottenham for the first time that season?

- When he went all out attack vs Monaco when we were already in the lead from the first leg?

- When he played 3 at the back for the first time that season against Lyon?

- Or maybe at Bayern when he inexplicably played 3 defenders marking Barca’s best forward line ever man to man?

He’s not only done it twice.

He does it every year.

It’s starting to feel like he’s not interested in winning unless he can be lauded as a genius for orchestrating the win.

Each of the above examples, and last night, his teams would have been far better off playing the way that had already made them successful.

He’s in with a shout of being the best coach ever, but he’s in serious danger of tainting his legacy with this insatiable need to be the centre of attention in the biggest games.
