I tend to agree. Phil has the ability to beat anybody one on one, he is being shackled and this is limiting his impact. Not saying Phil is Messi but Pep let Messi have a free role, I think it’s high time he told Phil the same thing.I hope you're right but first, Pep must free Phil from the shackles he still has on him. Spoke to many many city fans since we lost the final, soon as i heard the team i feared the worst, most city fans , felt the same , why were we right and pep got it so so wrong.Will never forget all the city fans around me when the team news dropped, all of us suddenly resigned to a sure defeat.
I think the opposite and that there will be a flat start to next season. We jizzed that away and Im still annoyed about it. I think our players know that too and the deflation from that may take some time to recover from. Winning the European Cup was on a plate for us and we fucked it right up. We are light years ahead of the opposition with the way we play and yet instead of letting them rightly worry about us and going about our normal business it was all changed about and played into their hands.Had a few weeks to dwell on this , and after we murdered them at Stamford Bridge , how did we lose to that shower of Southern shandy drinkers ? Maybe the defeat will inspire us to all the way next season , just lock Pep in a dark room for 24 hours before our next Champs league final and we should be OK :)
