I see its either fatalists day out without their carers or the wind up merchants casting their maggots in the water.
The two games we have lost to them were without Foden and Mahrez.
Im looking forward to Phil versus Azpilacueta - in the 10 mins he was on all he did in the FA Cup final was foul him and got booked within minutes, Foden mugged him over and over, lets see you do that for 90 minutes. Mahrez against his old team mate is the key for me - Mahrez turns him inside out every time he plays him, he'll be having nightmares thinking about it.
I really think Chelsea will just sit in and smash long balls for that diving **** Werner to chase - I swear he would fall over in a gentle breeze the cheating twat. Cannot afford to make daft challenges in our box, he will go down quicker than any porn star you've ever seen. I want Walker to sit on him first half so he gets fuck all service. Their main strength is Kante turning the ball over for them in our half but we really nullified that in the game at SB and he was anonymous - do that again and we win.
My sentiments exactly. For me, the key will be our wingers vs their fullbacks. If Mahrez or Foden play against their counterparts like they’ve done previously, they’ll rip them a new one. Mahrez absolutely roasted Chilwell last time he faced him.

If Zinchenko plays well we win easily. He will have hudson-odoi, pulisic, James and azpilecueta to deal with at various points, that's the Chelsea threat. My reasoning is that if I've spotted it then there's a chance Pep has as well, add to that the fact that we all feared the worse at anfield up against Salah but he completely smothered him. Dias will always be on the cover and Phil will work that flank like a man possessed. I'm confident we'll win this.

I think Chelsea will be very concerned about playing us. We have so many strengths and goals from all over the team. The movement of Foden, Mahrez and Bernardo supplied by Kev, it’s enough to give them sleepless nights.

It seems to me that our fullbacks will be told to defend more to nullify their balls into wide open spaces left vacant by Walker etc but I’m confident we can completely control the game. I’m going for a similar performance to the Stamford Bridge display.

English teams have been losing quite a few finals.

Only since 2000
2005 Milan-Liverpool 3-3, Liverpool won on pens
2006 Barcelona-Arsenal 2-1
2007 Milan-Liverpool 2-1
2008 United-Chelsea 1-1, united won on pens
2009 Barca-United 2-0
2011 Barca-United 3-1
2012 Chelsea-Bayern 1-1, Chelsea won on pens
2018 Real-Liverpool 3-1
2019 Liverpool-Tottenham 2-0

When Arsenal and Tottenham, Chelsea played their first ever CL final they lost.
Liverpool lost two and won two.
United were shit lucky both times in 99 and 2008 imo, but also lost two quite easily vs Pep's Barca later on.
Shame on Milan in 2005,, from 3-0 up they could not finish the job.

Pep mentioned yesterday also some clubs need to try more finals for their first win, some clubs can do it at first time.

Juventus had 3 CL finals in last 20 years and lost all 3.

Real Madrid though had 7 CL finals since 1998 and won all 7.
Hope that is more like our record will be for next 20 year or so. :)

It would be fucking shit to go down to Chelsea who is 20 points behind us in league and Tuchel just came in months ago for them because who the fuck knows when will be our next CL final.

Bricking it already. I can’t imagine what my nerves will be like come kick off time. Lahoz has to be nullified. Nothing silly, no leaving a leg in in the box etc. If we can keep Lahoz quiet we have a good chance.

It's interesting the perspective that football fans have on these things. A friend of mine is a Chelsea fan and he's isn't happy with the ref appointment, as he thinks he's now going to come under so much scrutiny he'll want to avoid controversy towards City. My response was along the lines of have you seen this bloke, he LOVES controversy! But I sort of see where he's coming from.

The ref is a concern, definitely and we need to keep our cool and not give him anything to get excited about. An early yellow for Fernandinho would be a white knuckle ride in particular. But if we play to our best, we can still win in spite of him. Its still in our hands.
