Guys and gals, for those of you wetting their knickers at the prospect of facing Chelsea in the CL final, a few words of perspective.
To see the whole picture we have to look at our journey and how we have become the powerhouse in English and European football.
There is a pattern there if you look for it. The pattern is distinct, consistent and undeniable.
The pattern is that fate has presented us with the challenge and opportunity to face down and dominate our rivals one by one, and we have risen to that challenge and faced them down one by one.
Post takeover, the first challenge we had was to get into Europe via top 4, our direct challenger then we're Spurs who beat us 1-0 in the penultimate game of 2009/10 to pip us to 4th spot. It broke our hearts, but that was the last time we finished outside the top 4.
Next came United, 2012, we took them on, we faced them down, we kicked sand in their face, nicked their trophy at the last possible minute, and announced our arrival and dominance over them.
Next was Liverpool, we slugged it out with them in the slippy G season to deny them, and then again in 2018/19 to deny them by one point, that would have been 2 Premier Leagues they would have won had we not been there.
Arsenal have just withered on the vine and died without a whimper.
We have stamped our authority and dominance, one by one, on them all.
When the challenge has come, we have not been found wanting, and we won't be found wanting this time either.
Chelsea are merely the latest to be directly confronted.
What we see before us is fate.
It is meant to happen.
It will happen
All you have to do is believe.
In the words of Conan the barbarian,
What is best in life? To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
No wonder they all fuckin' hate us.
