Champions League Final | Tickets - City Official Package + UEFA Tickets | 2022 Final (pg 1033)

Did Sport options Friday to Sunday after collecting ticket from the Etihad. All very smooth apart from check in on the way back. Massive queue and not enough desks open. 1 hour delay so could’ve been much worse. Notwithstanding the match and result it was a great weekend in a fantastic place. Very lively and got on well with the Chelsea fans I spoke to who were all old school with a few stories to tell. Two good nights kip in good quality inexpensive Airbnb and a pleasant lunch today by the river washed down by several super bock. Far preferable to spending half the night at the airport whilst hung over and knackered. Having done day trips before there’s really no comparison.

Glad you had a good time. What have you spent all in? 1000 euros?

I’m sure given the choice everybody would have chosen to spend a week on the algarve and a private jet up to porto for the weekend

unfortunately there were hundreds maybe thousands of blues who could only get there when our wonderful owner made his amazing gesture and in my experience apart from a needless wait on a coach to leave the stadium it went almost perfectly

In UEFA’s wisdom it’s St Petursburg next year for the final. So you’re probably looking at £600 for a flight and £120 for a visa. The thought of having to somehow find that is already making me think I’m not arsed if we don’t get there next season

Point taken.

I had already booked it before the sheikh’s generous offer.

Had I not booked it not sure what I’d have done. Might have booked Ryanair or EasyJet which plummeted in price after the free trips were announced.

Sport Options was £399 and I spent £79 on an Airbnb so an extra £478 spent, but could easily have been £150 flights if I’d hung on.

1000 Euros all in including ticket, Covid tests and spends is probably not far out and I realise not everyone can justify spending that much on a football trip, but for me it was well worth it.

Might try the private jet next time ;-)

Did you have to do an extra test before coming home?

god knows how families are getting away to Portugal for half term. You’d probably be looking at an extra grand for tests alone

No. Same day test on the Thursday covered me for both ways. Just the day 2 test to do tomorrow.
 
Great weekend apart from the result. Nice city. Sportoptions looked after us. No bother. Saw a lot of the city and quality time with my daughter.
 
If there’s any Blues looking to recoup a bit of expenses - if you still have your paper ticket stub there will be a decent market for them on EBay.
