At that point, they will meet all of the official travel folk and eventually be bussed to the ground. I agree that would work perfectly for sure and would suit people like me who are there from Weds to Weds around the game. However, at this stage the final cannot be moved from Porto so the Portuguese authorities hold all the cards and can insist on whatever criteria they like for the match and UEFA and the clubs have nothing they can do about it. Portuguese Government will prioritise safety and views of locals and therefore the bubble could well persist into actuality. Fingers crossed not but just my two penneth.

Nothing has been confirmed or dismissed by the Portuguese authorities. UEFA said they hoped the bubble would be removed and independent travelling fans could go to the match but it all depends on the Portuguese Government agreeing and at this time 14 days away, they hold ALL the cards.

Nobody knows, including the club at this moment.

Consensus seems to be independent travel will be ok, but Portuguese authorities want to minimise that a bit by encouraging traveling with the club.

Time will tell, but calm until told otherwise.

Absolutely. Although now things have settled down slightly (for now) the club will pick up a lot of people that had written the trip off this week.

So British tourists can travel freely all over Portugal as long as they don’t enter a football stadium to watch a game being played by two British teams. Makes sense to someone I suppose.

For all those who have booked independent travel

Everyone should read that article. It highlights the greed of uefa, sponsor who has been to 6 matches in his whole life, 4 champs finals and 2 World Cup finals. They openly state they are not interested in group games. This final is not about the fans it never is. Great quote from Kevin Parker as well about booing.

No, what I meant was that fans could travel independently and still attend the game but would nevertheless be required to enter a bubble on the day of the game itself by turning up at a fanzone.
