Protesting about their club not caring about fans and then think a club caring about their fans and seeing them right is buying fans. SCUM

Obviously people will do what they like and book to go but most of us booked independent travel when it was announced there were 6000 tickets, which realistically most who go to regular away games would feel pretty sure of getting especially in the pandemic when many older fans might not consider going.

So its not really about points or who gets tickets or who has fair dibs, its about many of us who booked either just before or when prices were going astronomical, as we would do for any away game where fans are allowed, and now the potential is that there will be thousands of fans who essentially have travelled to a game that they won’t be allowed to go to, and yet all it would have taken was a sentence from the club to say ‘The advice from UEFA/Portuguese authorities is not to book travel as tickets are likely to be restricted to those on an official day trip’.

This would not have put everyone off, but it would have stopped the likely situation of 1000s of English without tickets in a city that will have much of police force focused on the game itself.

Also we forgetting Chelsea who presumably will not get a free trip so they will also have had fans booking travel before their tickets were announced (think they have loyalty system as well) so is it going to be one rule for them an another for us?

Nail on the head. It's obviously a great gesture but the lack of information and communication for a game just 11 days away has been poor.
 
Given that neither Chelsea or us have announced anything yet then it might have something to do with UEFA fucking about with Portuguese government to ensure that their guests are able to do what they want etc. We, the fans, are secondary in all this and if UEFA could fill a ground with just their hangers on and no fans I guess that would be the route they would go down. Wait till the prices are announced and people see the cost of £500 for a ticket. Even with free transport I wouldn't pay that much for a ticket. If UEFA is really all about supporting the fans they wouldn't try and fleece every year and the same goes for the FA with their cup final ticket prices.

Nah. According to some on here - it’s all City’s fault (Chelsea have got all their fans organised of course)

Not to piss on anyone's bonfire, don't be surprised if you suddenly need a Portuguese address to buy one from UEFA!
Between UEFA, and the Portuguese, fans of both clubs have been royally shafted so far - I suspect it will continue
