Champions League Final | Travel Requirements + COVID Tests

that would certainly be helpful, otherwise there will be a few thousands City fans at the airport on their phones trying to complete the Locator form !
My worry is the locator coming back. Says you can’t do it less than 48 hours before you come back, which is after I depart. So presumably need to do it on my phone, but I thought you needed a hard copy? I won’t have a printer in my small onboard bag! If allowed to show on phone it’s a bit shit if your phone battery is dead. Glad when this is all over lol

That example looks clear and easy to follow. Just can’t understand why City have added that extra caveat and don’t want any reason to fall foul to something the club might insist on for travel, hence I’ve booked for post 1 on on Thursday with 24 hr guarantee result. Fucking ridiculous that City Chelsea government UEFA all seem to have slightly different criteria.

If you're booked in for a post 1pm test on Thursday and result is within 24 hours then happy days and you're covering all bases.

You mention criteria set out by all parties involved but if we're talking about entry requirements into Portugal and entry requirements into the UK then you can disregard anyone's criteria apart from the Government.

That is, quite simply, the only criteria that matters for getting in and getting back.

The only other criteria anyone should pay attention to is the stuff set out by UEFA to get into the stadium, for those with a ticket.

i've booked with boots for pcr test at 13.50 on the thursday and i understand from club website is after 1 pm will be satisfactory for the return to uk early sunday, this is a nightmare, and boots now say it could take 48hrs i've told them i need result before midnight friday. this is a worrying time when it should be exciting and something to look forward to
I would cancel as Boots have let me down numerous times! Not worth the risk surely . Better going with someone with a track record

This is from the GOV.UK website for supporters going to the Final

It's been shared via the Government page but it's advice published by the Embassy and Consulate.

Although there is plenty of useful info within it, you should still consult the applicable Government pages for the formal guidance for how to get into Portugal and how to get back into the UK.

Sounds perfectly reasonable and any sane person would follow government advice. I just had horrible vision of some city bod in a hi vis jacket giving me the thumbs down upon receipt of a Thursday morning test. You’re 100% correct in everything you’ve kindly highlighted but it’s the club we’re talking about here and they’re not always the best on details

I 100% understand.
Pre-Covid this could be a stressful trip, so undertaking it in pandemic times with a whole host of hoops to jump through really complicates things.

My advice, apart from the obvious stuff, is to take physical copies of everything, maybe even 2 copies of everything, and screenshot the important stuff on your phone (and don't forget your phone charger!).

The only place anyone needs to be looking for the most up to date and correct entry information for both outbound and inbound travel is the official Government website.

Follow the formal guidance and you're on the right path.

Is anyone getting tests anywhere near the Sheffield/Barnsley area? i'm struggling to find anywhere that guarantees results in 24hrs. Bloody stressful this!
you can get it done at Headingly Leeds, or try your local chemist
