Champions League Games 10/11 March

In honour of Liverpool cheering up the whole football world with their exit last night, here's one of their finest leading the singing and expressing how we all feel this morning! Take it away Ken!

 
When we score next Tuesday don't expect the commentator to explode like he does here...

Expect something more like.. a pin dropping or some comment as to "its not a real team

of old" or real always going to struggle without ramos following his dubious red card......

Greatest side ever. Throw in their defeat in the Carabeo Cup and this invincible side has taken it to a whole new level this season.

I thought Savic was very poor to watch last night. In the first quarter of the game all he did was smash the ball to nobody. Simple five yard passes were on and all he did was leather it anywhere or four times he smashed it to a player that was miles offside. His lack of composure meant it was eave after wave of attack v defence.

For the rest of the game he just headed balls that were on his head, made tackles that were around him and volleyed anything away that was near his foot.

Every one of City’s defenders is a better footballer than Savic and looking at his actual football ability he’d be fortunate to ever get in a match day squad under Pep.

Like Pep said on his very first interview as City manager; [*paraphrased, can’t remember the exact wording*] “it’s easy to get a team organised and defend deep, it’s the easiest way to play football. But it takes a lot of time to learn the way I play football and not all players can do it or understand it.”

All of City’s defenders could play well in that deep defensive unit with players around them every few yards to help picked up headers and miskicks.
