I thought the Mbappe one was definitely a penalty in the game I’m watching n’all. We’ve had far softer ones given in our favour over the years.
Yet in this thread nobody else thought it was.
It isn’t half over the top with the corruption stuff this site. Does us no favours for where we have genuine grievances.
The issue is that the refs are exactly the same as the fans.
Some refs give that and some refs don't, in modern day football that shouldn't be the case.
The Gimenez one for example, Peter Walton says penalty even after review, pitch and VAR officials say no penalty after review. That shouldn't be the case. There should be a standard that they all have to follow.
In most professional fields your performance would be reviewed and questioned if you aren't complying with the standard.

To me Griezmann wasn’t as stonewall when you realize another AM player shoved Firminho into G’s boot. But I can understand it. I don’t see the difference in the two potential pen calls. Attacker eye on the high ball and defender behind charges shoulder to back, not to shoulder. Both pens in my book. Can’t see much difference other than Jota isn’t strong enough to stay up in the first case, or to shove the attacker over in the second.Not according to some 'experts' on here, who think we're all knowfuckall idiots!
