I just hope he has been informed before this came out. Definitely Jovetic is someone who has always backed the team and come back stronger. I do reckon he will be off in the summer.
It is a sad situation that we've had to leave him out. That must be really tough for him to accept. Jovetic really applies himself and his injuries aren't his fault. They've led to him having a stuttering career with City and he's been unable to prove himself. We all thought that it would be him and Aguero that would form the best partnership but it's never really got going. With the arrival of Bony we have a perfect partner for Aguero and a proven goalscorer.
I'd assume there have been lengthy conversations and would hope Jovetic is happy to move on in the summer so all parties are on the same page. He can apply himself in the league and then ideally for us be used as part of the deal that brings Pogba to the club, possibly with Kolarov or Nastasic or all of them! We'll have to wait on that. You'd expect Jovetic to still perform well in the league, he seems to be the sort of player that has the mentality to prove people wrong and fight for his place rather than let his head drop or fight certain decisions.
I feel for Jovetic but he'll understand. Not sure I would have dropped him but Peller's has his reasons. It wonder what the rationale behind him over Dzeko was?
i like the lad and think long term he is an asset. I still hold out hope that the management have said "next year, you're in the CL squad, dont worry about it, youve got a future if you apply yourself but we need you to sit this campaign out" and he'll accept it. But you can see that the omens are bad.
I honestly couldn't see it being anyone else, so no surprise to me.
I know people have mentioned he is versatile etc. but unless you like little flicks and stepovers then not that confident he can change a game off the bench from what we have seen so far!
