perhaps milner should have been left out , no doubt he is having a great season, but he wont commit to a new contract , he should have been given an ultmatum , sign your contract or you dont play champs league and if you dont like it f*ck off to the dippers and settle for mediocrity and no more medals. Gutted for Jovetic , compared to kolarov or caballero he is having a good season , picking caballero stinks of favouritism from MP

Must admit I am surprised at that decision.

I thought it would be Dzeko as I was confident it would be a forward of sorts but if not Dzeko then Bony despite the price tag and the goals to games ratio for Swansea,

The likelihood of us getting over the line home and away to Barca is slim.

Bony all being well will be a stalwart for us next season despite his premiership experience its hardly likely he will hit the ground running against Barca even if he gets a start at home or away.

Clearly this doesn't mean Jovetic is up and away in the summer as the alternative was to have Hart with Wright as back up but it will be interesting to see how he reacts to this decision.

If they decided on Bony I would have had Dzeko left out , if they decided on all four I would have left Cabo out if that was allowable which I think it would under the rules for keepers in Chumps but I stand to be corrected.

To be honest I think this reflects atrociously on our transfer policy. We're dropping a player (likely taking a huge hit on the transfer fee) who could yet become one of the best in Europe simply because we have bought players that mean there's no room for him.

It's hard to see the wisdom in the Caballero transfer at all now.

I doubt it's a great enticement for any players tempted to join the club who aren't guaranteed starters.

Not surprised, apart from a handful of games he's either been injured or just rank average.
Hopefully he'll be part of the Pogba deal in the summer.

Couldn't we have dropped Cabba and gone with Wright in case Joe got injured for the Barca tie etc?

If logistically it was not possible because he wasn't part of the original squad and they have to be picked for the rnd 16 onwards blah blah notwithstanding we have added Bony to that list fair enough but I think not.

Much better selection in my opinion event though we already no who won't get any game time or get limited game time barring injuries / suspensions aside against Barca already.

Given no yaya in the first leg anyway why not have Jovetic in the squad?

What a way for Richard to finish his career if Joe had to limp off.
