Some reasonable points in this thread, certainly not the Original Post however... Having no evidence to back-up his claim.
For a few years now I've gone on about having a Seat Exchange.
it is certainly implementable on the current online ticketing system, and would guarantee bums on those empty seats.
if I cannot make XXX game, I should be able to login to my account online, select the game, the database already knows where I am sat, and place my seat up for sale.
The buyer would have to be registered on tickets.mcfc.co.uk and the club could then activate the buyers card for that particular match in that particular seat.
Common Sense. The buyer/seller has no interaction, the club has all the payment details anyway, and could easily deposit £££ into the seller account, and take a cut for administration costs.
