I think a lot of this has to do with people wanting someone to be punished over and above the sentence that he was given. Not sure why it's acceptable for him to be employed as a footballer by a smaller club on a lower income, but not ok for him to be employed by Sheff United.

I agree, and would certainly have no problem if she went to the Sheff United board privately and told them that she wouldnt be comfortable having her name on the stand if Evans played for them.

I wouldnt be comfortable either if he was about to sign for City.
