Chelsea 2017/2018

Feel a bit sorry for Conte. There seems to be a serious mentality problem at Chelsea, they down tools every other year.

Conte has been the master of his own downfall. He single handedly got rid of Diego Costa and pushed for Morata. He wanted Bakayoko, he wanted Zappacosta. Chelsea have bought poorly, but he has to take part of that blame.

Good win today, but golly they've become a poor side.

Line-up today: Courtois, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Moses, Alonso, Fabregas, Kante, Bakayoko, Hazard, Giroud.
Players left since Mou joined (13/14): Begovic, Hutchinson, Bruma, Ake, Cuadrado, Bertrand, Matic, Romeu, De Bruyne, Salah, Lukaku.
Or you could swap in Cech, Ivanovic, Van Aanholt, Filipe, T. Hazard, Chalobah, Schurrle, Mata, Bertrand Traore, Atsu, Diego Costa...

Wonder which one would actually be better, bar the CBs I think it shows what an appalling job Chelsea are doing.

Seems like Roman Abramovich is currently persona non-grata in the UK. He's back in Russia as we've refused to renew his visa, which expired a few months ago. Wonder what that means for Chelsea. They owe him over £1bn as well.

More importantly what does it mean about there proposed new stadium? Wonder what the reason they haven’t given him a visa a man of his calibre must no ways around it.

Isn't he persona non-grata in Russia as well?

No. He was governor of a province in Siberia where he grew up. He’s also a great mate of Putin. He even recommended Putin as successor to Yeltsin and appointed his first cabinet. He’s quite safe in Russia as long as he’s faithful to Putin.
Don't think being a great pal of Putin will help with his visa application.
Sure this is a political move by home office and not at all surprising.
Whether it's just a delay or something more punitive remains to be seen.
If it's something more serious, Chelsea are in trouble. The club owe Roman a fortune and then there's the little matter of financing the new 1 billion plus stadium.

Wonder how this will pan out for RA, the Government said they would go after the money after the Salisbury attack. Could this be the start of that, or are they just making him sweat?
