Chelsea (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Agree Chelsea at the moment reminds me of City as we started our climb. We had a few seasons were we could beat the so called bigger sides but lose to the mid to bottom half of the table. As you say they need to put a run together.

As good as Chelsea were we poor in midfield. Rodri was isolated, both Foden and Doku were doubled up on.
The weather was always going to make for mistakes.

My lad was screaming at 3-4 park the fucking bus !! We didnt !!

We didn’t have it in our locker to go compact for a while and make us hard to beat. Sterling was up for it and gave Walker a torrid time all game. It’s a head scratcher he won’t be near the England camp this week whilst Rashford will be stinking the place out.

For me it was a bloody good game. One which we could have easily lost but also won.
i think the majority of our fans would have taken being top going into the last international break of the year.
We have 3 very tough games coming up. For me if we are still top 2 or 3 coming out of them I will be happy.

Yeh that would've worked, still I'll take a point. Hate the mornings after a defeat
I thought tge season would be open with Chelsea , Villa and Brighton all taking points in various games v eventual top three...luckily we didn't lose there..there will be many more losses and draws for all eventual top 6 this year.. Arsenal lost last week to a side who are now 8th.. going to be an exciting season..table wise..loads of twists and turns..

I didn't say he wasn't talented. He is just has a poor mentality which makes him a poor player for me.
Imagine accusing Palmer of having a poor mentality when he’s playing at the highest elite level at the age of 21 having just been bought for 45 million pounds. If he had a poor mentality he wouldn’t have made it anywhere near city’s first team in the first place given the competition in the academy. To then ask to leave due to lack of minutes shows an insane self belief/mentality at such a young age. Possibly the dumbest shit I’ve ever read on here that @Dax777

frustrating to end with a point, but given the chaos factor and City's non-existent middle, a point might not be a bad thing. To snatch a 4-3 lead at the end and have no semblance of control will enrage Pep though. James given far too much license to roam - this is why Doku played to pin him back, but for whatever reason it didnt work so well. I think Chelsea just absolutely went for it, at the end of the day.

I think performances, defending etc., done to death, but i'll go Foden MOTM.

have we really only got KdB and Alvarez as free kick takers?
