Chelsea (a) post match thread

Wouldn't say he was abysmal but having the shit kicked out of you all night and ref doing nothing about it doesnt help
I don`t think there`s ever been a bigger fan than me,than King David. However in that first half he really was poor and virtually non existent, but he really was far better in that second half but not like the David I know and love.
Of late I don`t think I`ve ever seen him put his foot in so so much, but for some reason he just wasn`t himself. He certainly wasn`t the worst player, but we need players like himself,KDB and even Fernandino who just didnt do enough on the night.
OK maybe I`m being a little harsh but I still think that Chelsea were there for the taking... and not for the second time this season.

Comments I heard from Chelsea fans as I legged it for Tube:

Made if hard for ourselves

Thought we were gonna lose

Didn't play well but won.

Same old story for City tonight and it won't change until we make more changes to the squad. The manager knows what he is doing but he is hamstrung by not having players that he can consistently rely on not to cock-up.

We need them to bring their A-game out in the FA Cup and not make too many errors in the league.

Get the transfer business right in the summer and we will win the league next year.
Tube? Bleeding nightmare, we walked to Parsons Green after they said Fulham Broadway had no services on. Then they cancelled services from there eastbound so had to walk to Putney for the train from there .
Game was typical of our season. Plenty of Chelsea supporting tourists in our section. Good drink around Earls Court beforehand though.

Was a yellow at worse. A cyncial dirty trick but there wasn't much force in it.
He stamped on Kompany's knee after the ball had gone with no attempt to play the ball, it's a red card all day long. If he'd punched Kompany would you say it was a yellow?

What a strange thing to say. Of course if he had punched him that's violent conduct. He didn't. BT Sport's Howard Webb reviewed it afterwards and he concluded it was a yellow card offence because there was no force applied. I agree with him. A typical Costa foul, but I wouldn't say it amounted to a red card offence

And to think some comedians thought we could win at Arsenal and Chelsea.
The team lacks character, fight and desire and just like last season cannot win a big game

14 points behind Chelsea with the team we have = pathetic and the team has arguably regressed from last season under MP.
No it hasn't. It's much better than last season!

Webb didn't know how to apply the rules of the game when he was a ref and nothing has changed, it's retaliation/striking another player off the ball and a mandatory red card.
