Chelsea (a) post match thread

After all, that worked out so well this season.
Last season ended with an ruptured thigh and operation. if he finishes this season with a run of form then Guardiola has a decision to make. He and the player will know when the season ends what his chances are for next season

Whether he finishes with a run of form or not he hasn't lasted a full season for 5 years, he's not reliable.

Webb didn't know how to apply the rules of the game when he was a ref and nothing has changed, it's retaliation/striking another player off the ball and a mandatory red card.
It was sly dirty foul intended to get the player to react, but on its own I don't think it amounted to either violent conduct or serious foul play. he was trying to get Kompany to react.

The player and coach will have a good idea whether he is over his calf/adductor problem. You don't know. Neither do I.

He struck another player off the ball. Go read the fucking rules of the game on fouling, it's a mandatory red card as is any instance of deliberately striking an opponent with no intent of challenging for the ball. You want an example of the rules being applied properly? Beckham and Simeone, 98 world cup. Hardly leg breaking force that one was it? Yet since the ref wasn't that fuckwit Webb Beckham was correctly sent off for deliberately kicking out at an opponent in retaliation.

He stamped on Kompany's knee after the ball had gone with no attempt to play the ball, it's a red card all day long. If he'd punched Kompany would you say it was a yellow?

A retrospective ban will do us more harm than good seeing as they've got the rags coming up... so no doubt he'll get one

He was fucking useless tonight and the rag defenders are well able to bully him, probably six in one and half a dozen in another, I hope the **** gets banned, he's a nasty sneaky fucker who doesn't get a quarter of the red cards he should.

How would they now know whether he's over it? Clearly nobody has known in the past. I think the likelihood is everyone knows relying on him is a huge gamble, and nothing more than that.

What is our attempts at goal to goals scored ratio? Pretty poor I'd think - another 14 tonight for 1 scored.
