Chelsea (a) post match thread

This is correct. We always look like we'll concede. He has to build from the back and only Kompany and stones should have a future there. Confidence will soar when we can lock other teams out, and this is our problem. We have to buy well and get the FB positions nailed down this summer.
Agree, though we also need a DM of the standard of Andres Iniesta or Philipp Lahm or we are in trouble next season too. Indeed we probably need 2 of this standard as 1 DM rarely works in a league with so many games and so much pace.

What is our attempts at goal to goals scored ratio? Pretty poor I'd think - another 14 tonight for 1 scored.
I don't know what it is in all comps, but we're currently on 1 goal for every 8.72 shots in the league.

Dean ignored all their hacks but reward them every change he got.
Mr ugly should've been in shower after stud up on vinny.

Guardiola needs to a chance to sort the defence out before he can be judged......fact is all the defence is below par....other than Vinny who is always crocked...not one would get in the Chelsea team.....also how is Navas still getting time on the pitch?

hopthetically, if we started with a proper right back, had the same back four and keeper for longer than 5 games that could gain confidence and solidity, we wouldnt be in the same postion where we are chasing or losing the game because scoring goals isnt the problem.

How would they now know whether he's over it? Clearly nobody has known in the past. I think the likelihood is everyone knows relying on him is a huge gamble, and nothing more than that.
It would be a gamble for you or me to say he'll be fit for next season. But it might not for City's medical staff if they know what his original injury was in the Summer and how he has recovered from it, and what the problems if any he has had this season. From what I can remember he came back after surgery and had problems. He came back agains before Christmas and in his comeback game he collided with Bravo in a freak accident. what has happened since then? We don't know. has he been injury free? What is his body capable of? He'll have a good idea, so will City's medical staff

The severity of attacks by bluemoon posters tonight on City and Pep is totally out of proportion. If someone reads these posts without having watched the game you would swear that we were thrashed and totally outplayed by this "inspirational" (according to some on here) Chelsea team. Of course we have faults which we all know about...defence, missing chances etc. and we know that the summer transfer window will be crucial. But we basically outplayed the new Champions in their stadium for the whole game.....61% possession, double the attempts on goal and double on target and still bloody lost.....and stats mean nothing but it shows we were no way near as bad as some have stated.

If people can show a little bit of patience over the course of this season I, for one, believe the sky is the limit next season.....particularly with some proper defenders in the team.
