First half was anything but.

Thought the first half was close to the best we have played, but I also think.a striker might have scored & we did a bit of a Liverpool by running ourselves out.

Having Sané to come off the bench, rather than leaving the pitch would have made for a stronger 2nd half with hindsight.

We realistically only had Jesus who would likely make a difference.

But if a player does what Walker did, in a game like that, it makes a bit of a mockery of discussing team selection or tactics. Teams with players who do shit like that, lose.

When he moved to the right in the first half, Sterling had Alonso on toast, yet Mahrez barely troubled him in the second half.

Mahrez is so frustrating at times, there's no doubting his ability - he turned Alonso brilliantly in the 2nd half, got behind him but then stopped and played the ball back instead of being more direct.

Sterling played very well as did the two Silva’s and Walker and stones and Laporte.....

Sané still erratic and needs to improve in front of goal. Mahrez just lacks the personality for games like that

Jesus did nothing again and with the loss of Aguero that is really concerning when we play the better teams either in the premier or Europe.

The difference today was that Chelsea’s midfield was very mobile and quick and was able to cover the spaces....and their full backs were very good.

The injuries are starting to hurt us and now Silva looks like to have n injury......

Sarri gameplan defend let us have the ball hope we miss those opportunities we usualy get and hit us on the break, have to say it was a well worked goal. Second half sarri team talk must if been good chelsea came out a different team more positive play and playing a lot quicker.

We put the effort in but think the injuries have caught up with us.


Also if like to see Foden on before Gundogan now.

Both our fullbacks were poor.
This pissing about with Delph needs to stop we need a proper left back.
Walker is out of form. Mahrez just doesn't seem to fit.
I know we can't do much about injuries but the steo down from Kun needs addressing.
Pep hopefully will never try Sterling at CF. Again his first touch isn't good enough and his shooting is piss poor.
Hope KDB and Kun are back soon both missed.

Disappointing considering this could have been an easy win if we did not piss around their box and actually tap it in. Pep can’t score in place of Sane and Sterling so I can’t blame him tactically as he clearly got the better of Sarri until a freak longball ruined everything.

He was brought it to improve us and i don't think he has.

Pep likes him because he allows us to keep possession better than Sterling/Sane. He’s come from a counter attack style to possession football and imo he’s done fine considering he’s been here 4 months.
