I don't think he has or ever wondered what his best 11 is.It's alright stomping and screaming for him, him & him to start but its all about game management chaps. Games coming thick and fast - a game every 3/4 days more or less in Jan. Undone by a wonder goal on Saturday, trust Pep on this one, he knows his best 11
I always think we look at our best when we have Stones and Dias next to each other.Re the defence. At the risk of repeating myself. We're desperately missing Dias's organisational qualities. Even when a bit out of form as far as his own game goes, he still has organisational and leadership abilities that no-one else at the back has. We badly miss him.
He would probably agree with you. I would suggest he picks his "best 11" on a game by game basis, looking at player availability, opposition and necessary tactics etc.I don't think he has or ever wondered what his best 11 is.

Crazy if true, surely he needs to be given longer.Rumour is Potter has been given the next two games v us to save his job. If (big if ) true he's gonna have to go for it
The Etihad's been a graveyard for several managers over the last few years (apart from City ones!). Maybe Potter will come to the end there if he has 2 defeats at our hands - especially if they're heavy ones.Rumour is Potter has been given the next two games v us to save his job. We change 1-2 defenders every single game, thats not normal at all.We need to get some consistency over there.I always think we look at our best when we have Stones and Dias next to each other.
They’ve only played together as the two centre backs three times this season and not since 3rd September.
I’d love to get a bit of consistency with those two playing together when Dias gets back fit.
Time for the real City we know to stand up and start hitting some form and go on a long run. I am of the same opinion to yourself that a front 3 of Alvarez, Haaland and Foden will offer us a good mix of youth, movement and energy and provide the intensity we require to start hurting teams more.Huge run of difficult games and cup ties coming up, time to start the season properly. We could go on a run that puts pressure on Arsenal, or we could be out of it. Defensively we have to be better, and that starts with more intensity up top. Foden, Haaland and Alvarez the front three to make this happen.
After tonight I think we'll be 10,points behind the Tarquins.Chelsea be the best chelsea with nobs on! Teams raise there game work harder than against other teams! We not on it we will not win
I like this team. Although Rodri and Philips are defensive players, Philips has a wonderful eye for a long pass and could suit Haalands many great runs in behind.Ederson
Walker Stones. Ake. Cancelo
Phillips. Rodri
KDB
Alvarez. Foden
Haaland
Yes, I am sure there were so many of us calling for our players to close him down. I know I was.Agree Marios...and the fact a forward can slip in your own box and still not get challenged before being able to get his head up and pick his spot ..unchallenged from 15 yards...every prem forward has the technique to find the postage stamp from 15 yards ...when unchallenged, a bet he hasn't scored an easier one. Usually he would have lost possession, been crowded out by prem defenders who 'wanted it'..Lazy we were and complacent
I look at the way we are playing this season and I dont believe we have it in us to go on a long run, we have looked off the pace most of the season, last 3 games LWD and 2 were at home to teams we should be beatingTime for the real City we know to stand up and start hitting some form and go on a long run.
