Playing Chelsea at the right time ,they appear in disarray ans still trying to to grips with Potter's tactics , if we start this game ten points adrift of the Goons , it is defiitely in "must win" territory even though we still havent played half a season.
It will be a nice change to play an opposition who will try and win the game and this usually plays into our hands , would like to Stones and Laporte back as centre backs , but hard to drop Ake who has been superb , so would possibly play him at eft back ahead of Cancelo , who had a poor world cup and his recent games in a blue shirt have not been awe inspiring , ive backed us for a 3-1 victory because we do not appear to be able to keep clean sheets.

Huge run of difficult games and cup ties coming up, time to start the season properly. We could go on a run that puts pressure on Arsenal, or we could be out of it. Defensively we have to be better, and that starts with more intensity up top. Foden, Haaland and Alvarez the front three to make this happen.
Time for the real City we know to stand up and start hitting some form and go on a long run. I am of the same opinion to yourself that a front 3 of Alvarez, Haaland and Foden will offer us a good mix of youth, movement and energy and provide the intensity we require to start hurting teams more.

Chelsea be the best chelsea with nobs on! Teams raise there game work harder than against other teams! We not on it we will not win
After tonight I think we'll be 10,points behind the Tarquins.
And the scum will be 1 point behind us

Ederson
Walker Stones. Ake. Cancelo
Phillips. Rodri
KDB
Alvarez. Foden
Haaland
I like this team. Although Rodri and Philips are defensive players, Philips has a wonderful eye for a long pass and could suit Haalands many great runs in behind.

Agree Marios...and the fact a forward can slip in your own box and still not get challenged before being able to get his head up and pick his spot ..unchallenged from 15 yards...every prem forward has the technique to find the postage stamp from 15 yards ...when unchallenged, a bet he hasn't scored an easier one. Usually he would have lost possession, been crowded out by prem defenders who 'wanted it'..Lazy we were and complacent
Yes, I am sure there were so many of us calling for our players to close him down. I know I was.

If we play grealish and Mahrez in the same team at Chelsea then we don’t win simple as that . Get some pace down the flanks and we should be ok .

I look at the way we are playing this season and I dont believe we have it in us to go on a long run, we have looked off the pace most of the season, last 3 games LWD and 2 were at home to teams we should be beating

We've looked off the pace prior to every long run we've gone on

The Etihad's been a graveyard for several managers over the last few years (apart from City ones!). Maybe Potter will come to the end there if he has 2 defeats at our hands - especially if they're heavy ones.

I hope Potter staying! It benefits us. So two 2-0 should do. :D
