It would be amazing if Torres bagged the Chelsea winner.
I would even tolerate a Jose knee slide if that were to be the case.

i know i know nothing will come close to Aqueroooooooooo but if this happened along with us winning it and with Uniteds plight this year, it would surely be a close 2nd for best season ever

The utterly bizarre thing is, the rags would be delighted too. It's hard to conceive of a scenario where the rags are happy to be in 7th and wanting us to win it, but them getting rid of wee Davey and us stopping Victim FC from winning it, would have them made up.

Jose will play for draw ...sorry can't see Chelsea win

Why would he do that? So he can ensure he finishes third in the league??? Makes zero sense to try to draw.

The risk is, he might throw the game completely, and put all his efforts into the CL. But i cant't see him doing that either. But playing for a draw makes no sense at all.

Mourinho's philosophy is defence is the best form of attack. Liverpool will try to win firstly cos they know no other way, and secondly they know Palace away won't be easy. And Mourinho will play a similar game to the Etihad - soak up the pressure and hit them on the break.

it's possible, but I give a Chelsea win no better than 20% chance.

If any team is capable of beating Liverpool then it's Chelsea because they have a manager wise enough to park the bus for the first 30 minutes. Why more teams haven't done this I will never know because Liverpool can be beaten pretty easily in the second half once they've shot their bolt.

You do have to wonder if they'll change plan though considering this is the first time in a long time they don't have to win the game.

Cos it ain't that simple. Liverpool have players who can cut through a park-the-bus defence - Suarez and Sterling in particular. We started off extremely defensively - let them have the ball and actually barely touched the ball before it was in the back of the net for their first. There's a difference between soaking up the pressure and inviting the opposition to over-commit (while leaving your more offensive players somewhat upfield) and parking the bus which is 11 behind the ball. I think the latter is suicide.

Just look how Liverpool struggled against Norwich in the 2nd half, a better team, with an impartial ref ( yes that's aimed at you Clattenberg!) if Chelsea can soak up the 1st half pressure, the 2nd half will see Liverpool hit the panic button, and if Chelsea score, the shit could hit the fan.
