Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

Zack Steffen on Ederson: "I would say yeah he is the best penalty taker at Man City because he kicks so damn hard – there's no way a keeper could react to it. He kicks so hard, so fast, it's insane. It's insane, nobody knows how he does it."

Still find it strange that Pep does not give him the job. Then again, still trust Pep 100% so assume he must have a good reason.
If the keeper saves the penalty and then gets the ball upfield quickly we would be in danger of losing a goal.

Don’t you get it peps playing mind games we will do these in the final big time

I agree, I'm not gonna lie i don't watch Chelsea every game but what I have seen against us hasn't impressed me, they didn't seem great at the back today we was opening them up without, Kev, Gundogan, Bernardo, Foden and Mahrez thats without Zinchenko and walker on the wings.

Watch Franny Lee videos, hit the ball as hard as possible down the middle. If the keeper gets in the way he goes in the net with the ball.

From 12 yards out, the keeper should not be getting anywhere near the ball.

A) the keeper doesn’t go into the net with the ball

B) no shit Sherlock, can’t believe Sergio is the only player not to score a penalty, no great player ever missed a penalty, arf.

For some, football is the reward that didn't come after a week of hardship, emotional turmoil and disappointment.

For some, football is the reward that comes after experiencing the above and then feeling what it feels like to win.

When we lose it's hard to take because we know what it feels like to go through all of that. But more than that we know what it feels like to win.

When you win often. Weirdly enough it becomes harder to deal with the loss.

But when we do win, after we lose, that's when we are in a moment that you could only ever understand if you had felt any and all of this week in, week out, and felt what it's like to be so close to that feeling and not have it, only for it to be there. To win.

That's when it all pays off.

He treated it like a preseason friendly. He obviously had no intention of winning that today. It was purely to rest first team players. Hopefully for everyone at the club the gamble will pay off. We are now forced to play a strong side every game to see if we can get some rhythm and good enough form to beat this Chelsea team.
Maybe it will help to have to keep playing strong teams for every game.

Pep said that it can't be turned off and on and having to play to the maximum intensity for every game will help.
