The thing with football is that it’s not just about what happens on the pitch, it’s also behind the scenes and keeping everyone happy.
We’ve got a large squad and keeping everyone happy is just as important as getting things right on the pitch.
Those who didn’t play on Tuesday mostly got game time and a chance to win a league title, and truth be told, they probably would have pulled it off if it wasn’t for Aguero missing that pen.
It’s not all about tactics and ‘getting it right’. Pep would have known the risks going into the game but knows full well if it doesn’t come off then we have chances to put it right - which we 100% will do.
If we lift that CL trophy in May, sealing a treble, then absolutely no one will give a single shit what happened in that Chelsea game and that’s why there’s no point in going over the top about it.
