I think people are overestimating how much a loss tomorrow would mentally affect the team for the final.
The very top players and athletes have a confidence bordering on arrogance that if they lose they think they will just beat them next time. If anything, a loss tomorrow would just make the players even more determined in the final.

For me the most important thing is for the final lineup to be kept fresh but also play enough to stay sharp for the final.
 
Having closely watched their performance against Real Madrid, which they could easily have won 4-0, we need to be at our very best to win the Champions League, meaning no injuries to our star players. For this reason I would prefer a much weakened eleven tomorrow with even Steffan starting.
 
Got to pick a tema to win tomorrow. We have plenty of time before the final for the players to rest a bit.
I'd play a very similar team to Tuesday but bring in Rodri, sterling and laporte/Ake.
 
People are seriously underestimating this Chelsea team, and the ridiculous squad depth they have.
They won the F.A Cup semi final with Kepa in goal and a partly rotated team too.
Their bench against Madrid included Pulisic,Ziyech,Zouma,Giroud,Kovacic,James, Hudson Odoi and Abraham.
I'll say that's pretty good depth, and Tuchel doesn't seem to have a settled first XI, he rotates his team and they still seem be as good defensively and on the break.

Nobody is underestimating them they are a good side, but if we turn up on blob then we beat them our strongest side is better than theirs end of story.
 
The debate about going strong or weak is a bit vague, for it is not clear what strong or weak is supposed to mean.

It's one thing to make 2-3 changes, another thing to make 5-6 changes, and yet another thing to make 7-8 changes.

Pep made 6 (!) changes vs Spurs after a very good performance vs Villa, and we battered them at Wembley. He made 8 changes vs Leeds and Chelsea, and we lost. Think 5 changes involving the likes of Laporte, Cancelo, Rodri, Jesus and Sterling won't make us significantly weaker, if at all, given that they will be fresh and desperate to show they have the quality to start in Istanbul. But another 3 changes, e.g. Steffen, Mendy and Torres, would be too much.

Pep is loyal to the legends who helped him succeed at City, so he will start Aguero in some games. However, Aguero can't press as well as the other forwards, so I'm not sure Chelsea is the right game for him, provided that we want to seal the title and see how they cope with proper pressing. So, I'd go with Jesus/Sterling ahead of Kun. He will get other chances to start.

It’s okay to come out and say your a Chelsea fan mate, nobody on here is underestimating a club that splashed £250/300m last summer.
 
We need to beat them tomorrow and wrap up the league especially as the hammers are breathing down Chelsea's neck and they have a tough run-in.

city played the 2nd team in the cup
 
The bonus is that we know Chelsea..yes, they are in a rich vein of form,but so are we..we have the Carabao cup,we have the PL almost..Its a final.. who knows what may happen..just getting there is amazing..We will have our strongest team out for sure..two great managers,two great teams,it will be fairly even and the winner will have a stroke of luck for sure,an error somewhere. Man for man we have the better team. Lets just hope this is our time.If not, well, will be gutted, but after 1999, to the CL final, some turnaround, and will just count the blessings over the success over last few years.Just hoping,praying and not expecting.
 
All this nonsense about not giving anything away to Chelsea. As if they don't know already? Strongest team for Saturday. Only the same as playing a semi final with them over 2 legs...
 
Sick of the over praise chelsea are getting. Their biggest acheivements are beating our 2nd team, which didnt even turn up on the day, and getting by far the easiest run to the champs league final. Madrid were utter garbage and they had bloody Porto the previous round.

Hope we show up and truly show them the difference at the weekend.
 
Full strength. If we win, it means they’re another week down in terms of securing CL football for next season. The longer their competitive season goes on, the more knackered they’ll be for the CL final.
