Unless my understanding of the UK constitution is way off, don't the laws of the land, after having gone through both houses of Parliament, have to be final given royal assent to actually become law? Also, what does "what in pray tell" mean? What in pray tell me did she give us?
Hopefully someone's grandchildren will read about how we became a republic and ditched this obscene archaic institution
Pray is an archaic synonym for please.Unless my understanding of the UK constitution is way off, don't the laws of the land, after having gone through both houses of Parliament, have to be final given royal assent to actually become law? Also, what does "what in pray tell" mean?
It can’t be.Apparently it's the Scousers' fault the decision was taken to call off games.
The only disrespect being shown at the cricket is the English bowlers at the South African batters.I hope the ‘cancel football‘ supporters watched the start of the cricket. That was fantastic and would have been replicated at every ground this weekend and next, with all the PL games being beamed worldwide as well. Still can’t see how that would be somehow disrespectful.
Don’t give the PL execs any more ideas…Social media expert in full sight.
I saw a site interviewing people outside of Buck Palace about their thoughts about football being cancelled.
One woman said is was right as Selfridges had closed for a day, so football should do the same.
As good a reason as anyone else has come up with.
What would Selfridges do?
