Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

The more I think about it, the more I think avoiding an (inter)national reckoning for Liverpool fan behaviour (and a black mark on Liverpool’s “unblemished” reputation) was a not insignificant part of the PL’s decision to postpone this weekend’s fixtures.
Undoubtedly a part of it, but policing requirements are the main reason

After reading most of the thread and differing viewpoints I'm still unsure how anybody who thinks it is right to cancel all football have come to their decision?
It makes no sense whatsoever and the only reasons I've seen put forward are "it's the right thing to do because she served the country for 70 years"
Its such a backward notion, I can't wrap my head around the fact there are some willing to see others suffer economically just so they can, do what exactly? Stand in front of a half mast union jack all day? Belt out the national anthem non stop for 12 hours?
Jesus, mourn in your own time if you have to, or wait until the official funeral at least.
It's not just about the football. Those asking what's the big deal over one game being called off are missing the point so spectaculary it's mind blowing. Simplistic thinking at its best.

You can only assume that their seats will be empty on Wednesday as frequenting a football ground in a period of mourning is deeply disrespectful for them.
