Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

Seen very few houses or shops displaying any flags or royal memorabilia this morning on my travels , the narrative of national mourning that the media are forcing down our throat seems way off the mark.
I’m not sure putting up flags is associated with mourning, but agree there’s not an overwhelming sense of grief across the nation. Sadness, yes, but someone of the queen’s age dying isn’t the shock that a younger person dying would be. Life goes on, and the football games should’ve too. A misjudgement by the Premier League and FA.

Since there is no football this weekend, I suggest watching ( The Figo affair ) on netflix.

It will give you another reason to hate Madrid.

Absolutely. The worse brainwashing culprits have been TalkSport radio, or as they are known here, TalkShite Radio. Just about everyone there is calling for the cancellations and all we hear there is how everyone loved the queen. It has become TalkQueen radio. After a day of this, I tried BBC 5 Live Radio and found presenters there completely different. To my surprise, most were against cancellations. The lovely Queen banners at the Oval Cricket Ground today show that this is the best way to respect the Queen. Not running away as the FA did.
