Chelsea or Arsenal?

Arsenal for me. It's not often Chelsea lose two in a row and I'd like to see it. 1, because it'll knock their confidence; and 2, it'll bring them back to the pack. It's good for the table not to have one team running away with it.

Why do we want Arsenal to win? After the grief we had from their fans throwing a fit and insulting us at COMS last season & surreptitiously in this forum.

Their constant & inane whinging;
i. Getting Ade suspended which had an adverse effect on us last season when we were on a roll.
ii. The ingrate (after the millions we spent for Ade/Kolo) Wenger & his constant whinge about UEFA financial fairplay.

Defintely we want Arsenal to lose so that we can leapfrogged over the Arses & Scums so that we can be sole 2nd in the EPL after this weekend.

Then of course we can take 3 points of Chelsea when we visit SB.
At the end of the day realistically speaking 4th place might be decided between Spuds, Arses & City.
Completely wrong!
Remove yourself from the equation and think logically instead of emotionally. What we need right now is time. Time to get koralov, Mario and others fit and time for the team to get to know each other and the tactics the manager wants them to use. As we can't just pause the league what we have to do is stay in touch until we're up to full strength. That means arse take the points today and we are in striking distance of going top. If we can be in the same position at the turn of the year then we will have as good a chance as any of winning the league. That's a much better motivational position than saying we're in with s shout of fourth. So until we are fully fit I want us to keep on winning and whoever is top to loose.

I was going to reply to blueplan's post but, you just put it perfectly.
The motivation from knowing you're still in touch come the turn of the year would be a strong driving force. And who knows what you can achieve.

But all this not wanting anyone to run away with it is irrelevant if we don't do our part and win our own games. Starting with today.

Chelsea to win, we aren't going to win the league and the more points chelsea pick up the less chance united have of winning it.

The less points arsenal get the better chance we have of finishing above them in 2nd or 3rd.

I understand what you're saying; I just think it's a defeatist attitude. If we have any hope of winning the league any time soon, then the majority of these players are going to make up the side that does it. They have to believe they are good enough. I believe they are good enough. If we can go into every game with the same attitude that we had against Liverpool and Chelsea then we can go very close.

A draw would be good for all concerned. We would only be 2 points behind them (if we win) yet the rags will be 3 points behind them and with an inferior goal difference

This. With a 22 man brawl and points deductions.

:)
