No the manager does take some of the blame. But to put it solely down to him is mad. As I've said twice and you still seem to go on the players are still playing. Let's face it you weren't moaning 2 years ago about his formations and tactics when it won us the league and we only lost at home a few times in the season (in all competitions)
Dya wanna bloody bet!!!! Lol :-)

Mate it's well documented that I was one of many who spotted the flaws with Manuel form the very first match of his reign against Newcastle. Although we were battering them in attack, I'd never seen us so open which I just put down to early season exuberance. By the time we got to Bayern at home, I'd seen enough to spot the Manuel of today back then.

Just like many others who were worried by the complete abandonment of our defensive solidity, I warned as early as then that if he continued, it would all turn to shit sooner rather than later. We were lucky Liverpool imploded that season and that Manuel reverted to using one striker which meant we won all our remaining games and sneaked past Liverpool to win the title.

The following season we weren't so lucky because even Management luminaries such as Allardyce, Pulis, Pardew and Hughes had figured us out hence we won fuck all. This season Manuel seemed to have learned his lesson from the previous one and started with a solid formation and we won 5 on the trot without conceding, then all it took was for us to come up against a stubborn Watford for the first half at home and in the 2nd half Manuel reverted back to 442, Sterling scored after 2 minutes and that was the end of our season........... 442 was firmly back on the menu and we haven't looked back since have we?

Now I don't know what we are, but my observations have been rock solidly consistent from day one and just like many others we saw this coming and it WASN'T down to our players!

More to do with kompany getting injured and then it was shit from then on.

Actually very true. Played and scored vs juventus 1-0 up got injured and we lost 1-2. Then we lost to West Ham at home 1-2 as well.
Didn't e have 70mil of CB to play in cases where vk did get injured? Both of whom he signed? Both of whom he can't get to defend properly?

They are both individually garbage for me hope pep can coach the shite out of them money wise we always gets screwed and we oblige

Fuck the Beeb, fuck the FA and the FA Cup, it means Fuck All and blues should give a fucking fuck about it, at least under this twisted context circumstances.

Well done the Engineer Pellegrini, making a stand for the club and waving a huge two finger to those corrupt English cunts in London; and the flapping drivel spouting wet fanny twunts populating this thread as a lynching mob can fuck off as well, with that kind of fans who needs the scum.

The decision made by the club and Pellers was the correct one. Now the corrupt media cunts and their scouses, rags, tarquins, spuds mercenaries are feeling with tears their bloody FA cup up their red arses.

UEFA wankers beware, the blues are coming to get you and exact sweet revenge for your twisted seeding and the bent FFP.

The glass is half full.

No doubt his lack of tactical awareness has cost us points and when the players were up for it they decided that because they actually did have more quality than the opposition they could use that fact to win enough games while in the case of Liverpool they self destructed but as you say they couldn't be bothered the year after and 2nd place more more than good enough once again.

This season it looks like the real failings of MP are there for all to see despite the injuries.

Best summarised by saying a good people person but not a top line manager.

I wonder if we had Guus to name but one in charge for the season if we would have lost as many games as we have with nearly a third of the season still to go.

I honestly think Manuel put himself under pressure to create a swashbuckling, sweep all before him legacy with the strongest club in the Premier League with the most resources. The funny thing is that I don't recall him being like this before he came here probably because he couldn't afford to be like that with Villareal and Malaga.

Ultimately the players have to carry out the manager's instructions so they must carry some culpability, but when its been over such a sustained period with a gradual decline, I'm sorry but the buck stops with Manuel. He's had the time, support players and resources to do better than he has so far.

The season is far from over yet, but Manuel's time at City will be gauged on whether the squad is in a better shape now that when he inherited it and as it stands today, I'd say that was a resounding no. It such a shame because it could have all been so different.

It's a sad state of affairs if a club like City's fortune depend on any one player. Kompany missing was a blow, but it can't have effected us to the degree that it has. Its my belief our gradual decline has more to do with how we're set up and our tactics than Kompany being injured. Well that's my take on it anyway.
