Chelsea thread 2012/2013 season

I have a feeling that within the next 3 seaons, Chelsea will be champions again. Imagine if they actually get Guardiola? Imagine how good Hazard will be when he's 25 (if he's still there), wouldn't right them off for a good while yet.

Looking good aren't they? I think we can see why there were a few clubs chasing Hazard - the bloke looks very, very good. I still think they will challenge this season, and can't believe people were writing them off after the Charity Shield - a fucking friendly!

Havn't beat anyone yet. Start flapping when they beat us/United etc.
The same United who were bullied by Everton and pushed to extra time by Fulham? City weren't exactly convincing against Southampton. 3 games, 3 wins sitting pretty at the top of the league while playing some great football. Its a long season but I think some people are guilty of dealing in double standards. Newcastle are certainly a bogey team in the league who I expect to push for the top 4.

Convincing enough to beat you in the Charity Shield though.

That fixture is a glorified friendly and everyone knows it. Last year City managed to bottle it completely after having won it in the first half, but that had no bearing whatsoever on how you started the league campaign. Its even less of a indicator considering a red card was involved. If you can't beat a 10 man team I'd be pretty concerned.

Credit to Chelsea for the way they have started the season,3 games 3 wins,Hazard looks class, even Torres is playing well.

Man Utd beat you guys pretty convincingly in the shield last year and it meant nothing during the actual season.

Chelsea have looked good in the first 3 games imo.

We must win our games and stay with Chelsea as do the rest, the proof of the pudding is when the possible title contenders play each other.
The games Chelsea have played and won were to be expected tbh, our first test comes today and if we win it then it puts the pressure on..

No team can afford to slip up this year.

They were shite yesterday. They looked like they´d walked off the plane and straight onto the pitch. Should never have gone ahead with less than 2 days from landing back regardless of the fact many didn´t play in Greece. Mentally Toon were just not there and it was clear. You are a very lucky club under RDM - or should I say Roman, John and Frank

-- Sun Aug 26, 2012 9:49 am --

Having seen it at close quarters I can tell you it was no fookin friendly. You lot wanted to win. We were mullering you even when ponceyflop got his lucky deflection off Savic. Your fans were also shit

I believe 1 Newcastle player started yesterday who also participated in their midweek match. 8 Chelsea players started who were also involved in the extra league fixture we played on Wednesday. I believe you make your own luck.

I agree with Sam's take completely.

Chelsea's results have been excellent. The performances less so.

hazard has been outstanding though he is a diver. Torres is still struggling. I know he scored a great goal yesterday, but he made a mess of a lot of good attacking situations yesterday, and this is their achilles heel.
