Re: Maicon & Mourinho Laughing At Benitez Managing Chelsea

Maicon seemed to close to Mourinho the other night for my liking

Been an eventful few days for us so haven't been around. Came on to wish you luck for Sunday.

to be fair they were meant to be wallowing around in pity under AVB and still ended up beating us.

They'll always raise their game for the big teams as their ego's won't want to be hurt.

It would have been a tough game with or without Di Matteo, we just have to play to the best of our ability and win the game.
You say that as if we've been bad like last year under AVB. Before that scandalous United game we were performing a LOT better than both sides of Manchester and getting the results to boot. City has only just recently found any semblance of the form you had early last season.

No I'm just saying the manager has little to do with it, your main players will turn up because they can be arsed to play us.

Wouldn't that be better for you guys?

What, getting to face a Chelsea team with 90 minutes to impress the new guy rather than wallowing around in pity under Di Matteo? How is that better for us?

They may want to impress, but it's not going to make Luiz a better defender, Torres a better striker or Mikel a better midfielder.
Please please please; let Sideshow Bob be playing tomorrow!

He usually does well against us!

I for one am thrilled about having Raffa back in the PL! I hope he and red-nose picks up again right where they left it. Let the fighting begin! :)

He's always been very loyal to and passionate about his club (Liverpool) and the things he has said in interviews about opponents, or their fans, is brilliant, and as a Liverpool fan I would always have huge amounts of respect for the Spaniard.

He's a really good manager and I think he will do very well with Chelsea, their fantastic squad filled with Spanish speaking players.
It's a shame though for his sake, that no matter what he do he'll probably get the sack at the end of the season. But I do hope Benitez is back in the PL to stay.

In fact, if Mancini for some reason was sacked at the end of the season (not saying I want that to happen), Benitiez would be one of three or four managers I think would actually make us even better.

Thank you, I put this out in the main forum after Ajax away and was as ridiculed for it.Some people rate Mancio far too highly, he is certainly not better than Rafa, at best he is on par with him.

Chelsea fans for the second game running on the 16th minute standing up and singing for Di Matteo. Can understand their disapointment in his sacking but this seems a bit ott. Fair enough for the first game against us but leave it there.

Is it only me but ffs lads let it go and get behind your team.

I saw that on MOTD and had exactly the same reaction.

Pressing the self destruct button.

It's very early days, but already watching Chelsea is like watching Benitez's Liverpool who became ultra-negative.

Benitez looked under pressure in that MOTD interview sweating and looking worried this could end his managerial career! If Pep rang Abramovich tomorrow up and said ill have have the job Benitez would sacked on the spot
