Mata's future is not looking good. The lack of confidence the manager is showing him seems to have effected him. Oscar has been brilliant so far and still so young. Still need a Lampard replacement. The game next week will be a big test.
Not sure we need a Lampard clone even if we were lucky enough to find one, but we do need some quality in central midfield (since Van Ginkel tore his ACL). Lampard was so successful for us in our old 433, a young Lampard wouldn't be so effective in the system we play today because he doesn't have licence to burst late into the box or linger so far forward. With Khedira making public comments about being unhappy, saying he's a "Mourinho disciple" there is a lot of talk of us moving for him in the January window. I'd personally be delighted if we signed him.

I am a arsenal fan on here. Personally think you have a great midfield but jose still does not know his best team. Suprised he not been playing mata more often although your right his confidence must be low when not playing a lot.

Amazed you lot sold your best striker to everton. I guess maybe it was to develop him. Anyway going to be great battle between us, you and city this year for the league

No I agree with this. I don't think you need a Lampard clone at all. Lampard's best position as you said was 4-3-3. You need something different. I only meant you needed someone to take Lampard's place in the team. Khedira is a possible and will want minutes before the world cup.

Be amazed if real sold him. I think they already looking light without ozil in midfield now. I think though chelsea need more a striker then a central midfielder.

As I said in the summer when I was sure they wanted rid of Ozil, Madrid don't buy or sell players based on their performance. They go by names. Their German experimentation period with Ozil and Khedira is over. So they probably want a new route. You can be brilliant at Madrid and be sold for no real reason other than you are not the flavour of the month anymore.

You are right mate. Real madrid say players for no good reason other then their no longer big enough names. It amazed me they sold ozil to us when he was their best playmaker last season. It hurt them in champions league against quality teams as they will lack balance in midfield .

They did the same when they sold Robben and Sneijder after they got bored with the Dutch experiment. Robben was being compared to Messi in La Liga and look how Sneijder did at Inter. They're not a normal club.

They are run very badly which is why it been ten year since they won champions league. They lost big semi final or quater final to top teams as they have no balance in their team.

They sell top players to good teams if they have one bad season for them. Perez is a joke of a owner. He same guy who sacked a manager who won them the champions league and la liga .

At the same time they have a great youth system (though they sell them) and are the No 1 club in the world for most players. Most players dream of playing for Madrid and it will continue. The backstage politics at the club do not help.

Promblem is they often though sell those top youth players to teams aboard although that might start changing. Yes they bring in top players and of course we always can still keep having chance to win la liga. But backstage politics and lack of balence in central midfield means they won,t win the champions league for me.

Mourinho charged with improper conduct:

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been charged with improper conduct in relation to his behaviour during his side's game against Cardiff City on Saturday 19 October 2013.

'Mourinho has until 24 October at 6pm to respond to the charge.'

He'll probably contest it so he doesn't have to miss the City game and get a slap on the wrist after that. Priorities are a bit fucked as it's all obviously to paper over the incompetence of their own officials in allowing Hazard's first goal by not understanding the rules.
