Mourinho will be at the rags next Summer, this is what the whole Mata thing is about, the rags have tested Mourinho and he has passed with flying colours
All this crap to the Chelsea fans ''i am the happy one'' is a load of old fanny, he will be the ecstatic one when he is installed at the swamp, some Chelsea fans have cottoned on to this as well, he will get a bit of a rough ride off them and use that as an excuse to leave

Sorry this is laughable and completely untrue. Mourinho gave a performance worthy of any oscar winning in the press conference. It has completely changed the view of most Chelsea fans. They are now blaming Mata for forcing the move and are fully behind Mourinho. One thing AVB never learnt from Mourinho is how to play the fans. His whole time at Chelsea has been a brilliant play in how to get fans to be happy with a fan favourite leaving.

Now the anger has calmed down, from a Chelsea POV this is not a bad move. It is risky, but not a bad move. The immediate effect is that it allows Mata to help United take points of their rivals and help them win the league. The big threat is that Mata is an unbelievable player and is going to be a star at United. That being said, there are a few more talented players out there than Mata. I would prefer United got Mata than say Draxler, Meyer or Reus.

This also sends a clear message to all players around the world, that Chelsea will treat them fairly. If they want to leave and the club get a suitable offer then they will be sold to the club they desire. This would make youngsters more keen to join the club, because they realise that even if they fail at Chelsea they will not be held back from making a move that furthers their carerr.

It also sends message to Rooney, that United are screwing him over and not showing him enough respect. If Mata is allowed to go to United then he should be allowed to go to Chelsea. He will likely kick up a bigger fuss over this in the summer. United also don't have to worry about looking weak, because Chelsea have just sold them a star player.

Lastly it helps with FFP and gives Chelsea money to strengthen in other areas. I don't think anyone else would have payed more than 30 million for Mata. They are getting a lot more than that from United. This gives them the money they need to strengthen other areas and buy the striker in the summer.

Chelsea's strategy from a Chelsea POV is definitely much better than Dortmund's incredibly stupid strategy in the summer. The worry is that United have a fearsome team and next year will be serious contenders. He has saved United when they were on their knees, but he believes in his skills.

They will never have a fearsome team with Moyes in charge. I personally think they've panic buyed, as they're so desperate for some good news. Its central midfield and defense which is where the problems are. When Rooney is back and later Van Persie, scoring goals and creating chances won't be the concern as it is now, and I can see Mata just being shoehorned into the team.

Eh? They buy one player and now have a fearsome team?

I think Mourinho's biggest achievement has been in convincing some people that his every move is a stroke of genius. If he is trying some Machiavellian masterstroke I expect he'll come unstuck.

My view is that Chelsea have simply unloaded an unwanted player for a disproportionate fee to an extremely desperate buyer. How it will play out is anyone's guess

There is no chance Mourinho will take over at the rags next season with Mata being sold already to them.

They were champions last year and have added 70 million. With Moyes I don't think they can win the league, but it does not take away from the quality in the squad.

"Quality". Are you taking the piss. Nowhere near good enough. City,Chelsea,Arsenal and Liverpool far far better teams/squad.

Totally agree.

Chelsea probably received the initial enquiry for Mata and Mourinho just quoted the 37 million figure not really thinking it would be paid, but as WA says United are desperate and were willing to pay.

What is with all this intermediary nonsense, after the Spanish Lawyer fiasco during the Summer they really are quickly becoming a laughing stock on and off the pitch.
