Chelsea are selling Mata they are entitled and they haven't broken any rules, the shit bags are desperate and have overpaid for him so what?, why so many people are getting their knickers in a twist is beyond me, man up. Clubs sign decent players all the time none of our business.

Wenger looks petty and some on here going on about mourinho doing it to get the rags job is even more silly.

Some people really are obsessed with the trafford lot

Fair point. I don't care that they are signing him, he is a quality player but doesn't play in the position that they need to buy for. We have Nasri, even if he is injured at the moment and he is as good if not better, especially with the system we deploy, if a poorer team like Chelsea (mainly because he doesn't track back and press, which is needed even more in our system) are getting rid why do we need him?

I actually think this is a very smart move from Mourinho. He knows that Mata is a top player but also knows that when he isn't playing in the number 10 role he can be a liability. This asks the question of whether United actually need him and when they sign him how are they going to accommodate RvP and Rooney.

This either points to one of them leaving in the summer and if its Rooney then chances are he will end up at Chelsea. Also when United sign Mata they will have spent over 80 million on Mata, Fellaini and Zaha and that's without addressing their main weaknesses. They desperately need a top draw full back, world class CM and CB. Combined that's going to cost a minimum of 100 million and can United afford to spend close to 200 million?

In my opinion while Mata is a top drawer player and he will definitely improve United as he is better than any of their other midfield options. If United don't build their team around Mata this could be a disaster for them. I just cannot see a system that can keep the right balance and accommodate Mata, Rooney and RvP. If Rooney and RvP was 5 years younger then it would have been a formidable front line but their approaching the latter stages of their careers and their peak. Playing either of them out of position is a waste and at this stage I cannot see either of them being happy to play second fiddle.

If gollum ditches the 'united' way he could easily have a team that includes these three, if he will do it is a different matter

It's strange how some footballers can be so clueless. Hartson talking about how Oscar and Willian are not the best defensively. For attacking midfielders the pair of them are better than any in the Premiership when it comes to defensive work.

Do you think this has been done for the good of CFC its supporters or for Jose.

Just askin
Yep I think it's for the good of Chelsea, but the big risk is United becoming a force next season. 37 million is a lot more than Mata would have gone for anywhere else.

Essien has gone to Milan, but that seems a terrible signing. He cannot run anymore and the pitches in Serie A are huge. Milan's problem is that they get exposed on the counter. I don't see how this will end well.

They were champions last year and have added 70 million. With Moyes I don't think they can win the league, but it does not take away from the quality in the squad.

They wouldn't be your "second team"by any chance would they ?
I have no 'second team' and it is questions like that why I hate United more than any club except Brighton and Millwall. 'Who do you support in the Premier League'. It's the greatest con in the world. It does matter if you support Palace as long as we are your second team. There is Palace and only Palace and there will only be Palace. I have always been honest that if Palace don't win then I would prefer Chelsea to win followed by City. Half my family support Chelsea and they are probably closest acceptable club (Millwall are scum) so I see why people around me support them. As for City I like that a new club has shaken the traditional powers and they are no annoying glory hunting City fans here. I have nothing to do with North London and hate Arsenal, but have a special hatred for United matched only by Brighton.

Hard to argue with any of that.
