Reminded me of Clichy in the Wigan cup final where he was up against McManaman and everybody then decided that he was shit because of that one game. Or Maicon against Bale where he went from one of the best right backs in the world to an overrated fraud based on one game.

People are fickle.
 
Ivanovic is a class act and has scored some important goals for Chelsea too. Defensively there are question marks but no more than you'd have for Zabaleta. He's the sort of player that knows he needs to use his physicality and make the opposition know he's there early in a game to have the biggest impact. I'm sure he'll let Sterling know he's there on Sunday.

Players like Ivanovic are perfect for Mourinho they will do anything and everything he asks of them including riling the opposition or play acting when required. With Costa, Hazard and Terry he's a fair few players there who will share the burden of making sure Chelsea win games by any means necessary.

Neither were great after bar Clichy's purple patch last season though.
 
So apparently Eva Carniero is to be banned from match duty after Mourinho used her as his convenient scapegoat on the opening day after she did her job and went to check on the injured Hazard. Fucking coward, let the 3rd year meltdown begin
