Sorry, but I remain unconvinced. I'm quite sure that he wanted to use Caballero as a tactical substitution and that decision was stymied by Arrizabalaga's refusal to obey orders. Why on earth Sarri was then lambasting the hapless Caballero is another question.

None of it washes with me either. I was just summing up the various quotes from Sarri, Kepa and the club.

Re; Caballero. I haven't seen the incident back, but I thought at the time he was just venting in the general direction of Caballero, and not actually having a pop at him. The poor fella did nothing wrong.

Sarri essentially said after the game that he was working on incomplete information when he tried to substitute him (the physio hadn't relayed Kepa's message that he was just time-wasting, and not injured), so Kepa was right in wanting to stay on but the way he went about it was incorrect.
Are Chelsea's medical team not mic'd up to the bench? I thought that was pretty much standard for all teams these days.

Which does not sound like the truth if the matter to me. If this is true shouldn't the physio be fired then? Their job is to report to the manager medical issues of the players. Their lack of alleged accountability made Chelsea F.C. look ridiculous.
