Chelsea have confirmed that planning permission for a new 60,000 stadium built on the current site will be allowed to lapse on Tuesday and the project will be mothballed indefinitely.

Looks like Roman is less than committed going forward.

Hope Roman decides to call in his £1billion loan to the club, watch them go down the shitter.

The players we have been continuously linked with are Sancho, Havertz, Werner, Dembele, Chilwell, Tagliafico, Telles and yes, Aubameyang.

If we somehow managed to secure two of Havertz and Sancho, supplemented with Telles or Tagliafico and Upamecano, that would be a genuine dream window - it remains to be seen how the pandemic impacts Chelsea's finances. It does seem unlikely that we'll spend £250m or more this summer, but it's fun to dream :)

He should be lending some of his filthy oil money to those poor clubs who will go to the wall because of the pandemic. You know, the ones that are so poor that they have had to get the UK government to pay employees 80% of their wages.
LIVERPOOL,TOTTENHAM AND NEWCASTLE need your urgent help Roman. Pretty please.

It’s possible, the transfer ban would have left Chelsea with money to spend at some point. I think it’s needed as well, Chelsea’s position of being one of the top two clubs in the league has slightly eroded over the last couple of seasons and needs protecting rather than replicating where Arsenal are now with no champions league football. There is the nucleus of a good team there it needs some top level additions to move things along.

Sorry Liverpool Spurs and Newcastle. we've already spent our surplus money on keeping our staff fully paid. as well as providing nearly 100k meals for NHS staff and making the Chelsea hotel available for key workers free of charge. Our generosity do not extend beyond key workers I'm afraid :)

Yeah the ban plus incoming transfer fees such as the mandatory £50m for Morata Atletico Madrid are due to pay this summer as well as the Hazard fee from last season - I know money doesn't just accumulate like that in this business, and we did spend about £35m on Ziyech, but if theoretically, if we add up the budget from last summer and the budget for this summer plus the Hazard and Morata fees minus Ziyech, it could be a nice little war-chest. As I said, it remains to be seen what the club's finances are like going forward.

All bets are off on this transfer window, no one knows what’s coming and it could be a leveller for some teams with sticking with players or dipping into the youth team. I couldn’t predict what will happen with City squad wise and where we will be going into the next season.

Yeah, precisely. The whole reason we've been so heavily linked with Werner lately is because Liverpool have supposedly scoffed at the £55m asking price, which I presume they wouldn't thought twice about pre-pandemic, so the fact that we've barely spent anything on players in the last 18 months could help us close the gap to Liverpool and City. It's nothing more than hopes and theories though, as we both agree, we have no clue what the transfer market will look like once it opens. Kind of glad we got the Ziyech signing out of the way before the pandemic.
