Might be me but I thought the blow-up CL trophy was funny, even if a little childish .

If it wasn't childish it wouldn't be fan rivalry :)

Don't think he went past 15 years, and anyhow we can all pick periods that suit the narrative we are putting forward.

No denying that Chelsea have had lots of sucess in recent times though.

No but if you watched the interview it would have been obvious he didn't mean literally 12-15 years. Could have easily substituted those words with 'the last couple of decades' or 'in recent times' so it was clear what he meant.

And on the blow up CL trophies, probably yes, why not? We beat you in a CL final, why wouldn't we throw that in your faces every time we meet? :)

cant blame poch,he wants to make an impact at chelsea, hes pointing out how well they have done(if he would of said 18 years) he would be right.

they just need a bit of direction and i think poch could be the man, wouldn't surprise me if chelsea are not up there fighting for the top 4/6 this season.

if i was him i would go after the players who had let the club down, the fans will know who they are and if he can he needs to fuck them off with a club statement as to why such a player wasn't wanted , i know that wont happen,but i think that sort of player needs calling out

I personally won’t give two fucks about those 2 trophies, they’ll make us a few quid but nothing more than that, you only have to look where the World Club championship is being played to realise it’s part of FIFA’s cash cow.

But again, you keep saying a lot of players but it's only Koulibaly. One player. Mendy and Ziyech were on very movable wages and had several takers each. They chose Saudi Arabia over other offers because of the money on the table. Chelsea would have had zero problems moving them without Saudi Arabia.

So Koulibaly, yes very fortunate to get out of his contract but honestly I don't think Chelsea were even thinking about selling him when last season ended and I don't think he had any intentions of leaving until the Saudi offer was presented to him. Chelsea were fine keeping him. He had a poor season but it wasn't totally disastrous that we needed to get rid at all costs. So yes very fortunate, very opportunistic but we're talking about one player here. Hardly worth engaging in conspiracy theories over one player when we can see Saudi are still splurging on players from across Europe.

Fair enough. It wouldn't be a problem, though, if it wasn't so many players.

Haha. Yeah, you kinda took that 'endless riches' phrase and recontextualised it to mean something entirely different. You should be the new Dominic Cummings!

For the sake of world peace I think I should point out that the endless riches comment was not specific to City. I include so many more clubs in that bracket, including my own, Newcastle, Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool. Maybe not endless, but considerable wealth.

Anyway, all good bro. Nothing even remotely heated from my perspective. Just the usual mostly polite interactions laced with a bit of good old fashioned tribalism :)
