Absolutely LOVE Palmer. He’s been incredible. I never expected this kind of quality this quickly. Fantastic signing.

We should have beaten them today. Gutted to throw it away after being the better team for most of the game.

He's not coming back. Your long-term contracts guarantee that. It puts the club firmly in control.

Of all of our recent sales, he will be one we will come to regret. He was primed to perform this season. His injury last season derailed his squad integration into a team that won the lot which made it that much more difficult for him to be part of the team.

Still not convinced that selling a young player schooled in the city way and adding players from lower tier teams who are yet to perform consistently and have got a massive learning curve ahead of them was the best way to go forward. .

If I was a City fan I’d be gutted to have let Palmer leave. Not only because he’s hit the ground running and shown his quality already but from a purely romantic perspective, he’s one of the better academy players give produced and I’d always want to keep HG players around, especially when they’re actually really talented, but I understand it wasn’t as simple as that. We’ve seen it many times at Chelsea, if a player wants to leave, you end up just letting them leave.

Most are! The injury he got early last season set him back 6 months when he came back he hardly played when he did pep played him on the left and mainly had minutes! Think them Palmer decided he wanted to leaves to play games because he believed he was ready! We got decent money for him and looks like he is one of your main men!

City could have told him you going nowhere because he still had 3 years left on his contract but we ain't that sort of club! Your club has took advantage of that..

Yeah that's fair enough, and I honestly think if it comes to that and the player is asking to leave, I'd rather let them leave, provided we can get a good fee for the player rather than force him to stay. I was gutted to lose Mount for example but once I knew he wasn't ever going to renew his contract, I was like just get as big a fee as possible and let him go.

I actually think when I watch City this season, that you could use a player like Palmer sometimes. Doku is often labelled Palmer's replacement, and he's exceptionally talented but they're wildly different players. I kinda think you're missing someone of Palmer's profile and quality, especially with KDB missing.

We have Osaca Bob who pep loves and more in the mode of how we want to play

Palmer for me is undoubtedly the second biggest talent we've produced in the SM era. Sad to see him go but obviously it is easier to break into this Chelsea team than the best team in Europe. I agree with those who've said injuries came at the wrong time for him. He'd still be here if it weren't for that injury I reckon.

We as a club always take into account the player! Me personally would been bit more harder and said to him you have 3 years contract you will get to play and if you become consistently playing contributing to the team we will offer a new improved contract! If he still said no I'd say tough we not selling you to one of the main teams in the premier!

Fair enough, I don't much about him. He does appear to be very highly rated among City fans, so looking forward to see what he's got when he gets his minutes.
