I know, you’ve said it a few times and I still disagree that it was a better goal than any other scored this season.
It’s fucking nonsense.

Well, clearly I don't think it's nonsense. But fair enough, you do.

Just been having a look at Cole Palmer's stats for the season. Taking away penalties he has 6 goals in all competitions. Those 6 goals have come against United, Luton, Sheffield United, and Middlesbrough. So that's a shite United team (in a game they lost), two teams in the bottom three, and a Championship side.

For a supposedly generational attacking threat in team assembled to the tune of £1bn he's not really done much to suggest we're missing him, has he? Genuinely had no idea just how many penalties he'd been gifted this season. Last night was another example of him being trusted as an attacker in a big game and producing next to nothing.

Lots of people (on this forum and elsewhere) are willing our sale of him to be a mistake but apart from pirouetting on the edge of the area and looking a bit pretty and scoring a few penalties I don't really see what he's doing that means we'll regret getting rid of him. He'll have a good career but was never on our level and probably never will be.
yup same here. I still dont rate him as much the media put him on a pedestal. But the media dont half get emotional when it comes to City players leaving. Phillips will be the next one to be heralded (For leaving City)

I’d put Palmer’s penalty vs City up against almost any other goal scored by any other player this season and think Palmer’s penalty requires more bottle, technique and composure.

Dissecting his game like that only happens here, because I guess some City fans do not like the attention he’s been getting at his new club. It’s the only explanation I can think of why some would go out of their way like this to try and diminish the impact he’s had this season.

He’s also had 7 assists btw.
LOL City fans are used to the shit we get from a media that are mostly supporters of the red clubs or have to report negative shit about City because its popular.

We can see the hubris that DIDNT happen at City for Palmer. The same hubris that didnt happen for : Jesus, Zinchenko, Milner, Sterling, Sancho even. They go to anotyher club and wow they're nest biggest thing!

So why do YOU think the players get reported on (Or even ignored) by the media differently whilst at City? I mean as good as he is according to you, I bet you never noticed him whilst he was at City. And thats about the top and tail of it. Heard of Bobb? See him much? See the headlines in the news? See the opinion pieces or the blanket coverage? Nah, he doesnt play for lfc like Bradley or Elliot. We dont get those sort of eulogies for our upcoming players. Garnacho - Next best thing.. Really?

It's because he is your best player but wouldn't be in our team and he is getting all this positivity when if at city he wouldn't!

So more to do with as usual the media bias agenda regarding anything city! As in players don't get the credit at city! It's only in the last 12 months that Kdb has been getting the recognition..

I can’t respond to you all but I honestly don’t buy that City players don’t get credit. KDB is considered an all time PL great. As is David Silva, Aguero, Kompany etc.

I didn’t notice Palmer much at City beyond knowing who he was because he was a fringe player at City. If he was starting every game as he is now there’s no doubt we’d all know him and he’d get the attention he deserves. No one was talking about Lewis Hall at Chelsea but I’m sure he’d have a lot of hype about had he gone straight into Newcastle’s team and immediately become their best player. I wouldn’t then think there must be a media agenda against Chelsea because where was this hype when he was at Chelsea. I didn’t know who Bobb was until I saw City fans compare him favourably to Palmer and then I started noticing him more

The past players Kdb got no credit until last 12 months! Where's the Praise for Alvarez Ake Stones and Foden who is by far the best young players technically in premier..

I see loads of praise for Foden. He is widely considered exactly the way you described him. Stones as well, not long ago was getting loads of credit and considered one of the top CBs in the league. He’s been injured a while though, no? Diaz is also widely considered one the best CBs in the league. Rodri gets praised every week nearly and is rightly considered the best DM in the world. And that’s before we get to Haaland who is universally considered one of the best players in the world who will probably go down as an all time great in the game

Well it's not ENOUGH! ;)
